Production Worker/General Labour Job Description

To be successful as a production worker you should be able to work on the production line with consistent speed
and accuracy. An outstanding production worker should be able to maintain production standards and work
towards improving productivity without compromising quality.
Production Worker Responsibilities:
• Follow health and safety standards.
• Maintain a clean workstation and production floor.
• Following production guidelines and specifications.
• Operating and maintaining machinery and production line equipment.
• Work on the production line and meet production targets.
• Report any issues to the supervisor on duty.
• Perform other tasks as assigned.
Production Worker Requirements:
• Previous experience working in a factory is beneficial.
• Experience operating table saws and power tools
• Able to work as part of a team.
• Good communication skills.
• Basic math skills.
• Attention to detail
• Physical dexterity.
• Knowledge with using measuring tape, both imperial and metric.

Starting rate of pay is $18.00/hour, top rate of pay $23.00/hr.
Attendance Incentive Bonus up to $5,000.00 per year.

Shifts: Days 7am to 3pm Mon- Fri and Afternoons 3pm to 1am Mon-Thurs
Specific areas of the production process
Floor and duct work
• Install floor joist and plywood flooring on chassis. Requires working on hands and knees for periods of
time. Also making and installing duct work in flooring.
• Installation of the insulation and plumbing pipes and use of air compress nail guns and hand jig saws to
cut flooring and duct openings
Side Walls
• Cut and assemble walls to be placed in the units. Requires bending and lifting and use of hammers and
air compressed nail guns and staples.
• Reading blueprints to ensure measurements and placement is accurate
Cabinetry
• Hand built using blue prints and multiple hand and table tools. Using finishing products such a stain for
finished product.
• Standing, bending and reaching for periods of time.
• Installing the cabinets in the units using multiple hand tools, levels, glue, caulking
Electrical and Insulation
• Running wiring and receptacles throughout the unit
• Installation of fiberglass insulation
Exterior Walls and Trusses
• Install the exterior walls saponite using air hammer. Requires ladder climbing and standing for long
periods of time. Building wrap is installed over the exterior walls and stapled on the entire exterior
Trusses
• The roof for the unit is prepared up on secured scaffolding and the unit is brought underneath and the
roof is place on the unit.
Exterior Finish Line Windows
• Installing window in units.
• Use of power tools, measuring tapes and working on ladders
• Vinyl siding installed. Use of table saws and air compressed nail guns
Shingles, soffit and facia
Final finish includes all cabinetry installed, interior doors hung, carpeting, appliance installation, drapery hung,
furniture installed and unit is cleaned and ready for the customer.
