Voyago is hiring a Full Time Benefits & Disability Coordinator based in London, Ontario to fill an upcoming vacancy.

Your Role

Reporting to the HR Operations Manager, the Benefit & Disability Coordinator will be responsible for overseeing the employee benefit lifecycle and facilitation of the leave and disability processes. This is an on-site position based in our London office.

Key Responsibilities

  • You will collaborate directly with employees, leaders, payroll, HR, and external partners to ensure programs are administered accurately, confidentially, and in compliance with applicable legislation, collective agreements, and organizational policies.
  • You will be responsible for benefit enrollment, eligibility maintenance and billing reconciliation for all employees, as well as facilitating our leave management processes with care and compassion.

Benefit Administration:

  • Lead full group benefit administration of new and existing employees including overseeing employee eligibility and compliance with the Group Benefit and Retirement plan requirements
  • Liaise with Service Providers and Insurance Broker(s) regarding the administration of group benefits
  • Follow up with leaders and employees regarding enrollment and other matters pertaining to the Group Benefit Plan
  • Maintain and update employee records and benefits files
  • Collaborate with payroll and ensure that benefit premiums are processed accurately and in a timely manner
  • Review and reconcile monthly invoices and collect owing arrears from applicable employees
  • Prepare regular audits and reports to support the effective and accurate application of benefit programs

Leave of Absence Maintenance and Tracking:

  • Maintain records for employees on various leaves of absence and accommodation plans, coordinate and identify documentation requirements in accordance with legislation and industry best practices
  • Develop and distribute letters to employees confirming leave details, ongoing documentation obligations, entitlements while on leave, and payments for arrears where applicable
  • Liaise with leaders, employees, and HR team regarding leave progress
  • Oversee non-occupational return-to-work plans and accommodation programs
  • Prepare regular quality reviews and reports to support the effective, consistent and accurate management of leaves

The Salary range for this role is $ 50,000 to $60,000, Schedule will be daytime hours, Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will posses the following qualifications that include, but are not limited to, the following:

Knowledge & Skill Requirements:

  • You have a post-secondary education in Business Administration, Human Resources, or another relevant field
  • You have or are willing to obtain the Certified Employee Benefit Specialist designation
  • You bring knowledge of relevant Canadian legislation and Provincial Employment Standards
  • You have 3+ years of relevant prior experience
  • You have in-depth knowledge of Benefit Administration best practices
  • You are experienced in leave management and accommodation programs
  • You have experience with payroll or HRIS
  • You bring intermediate knowledge of MS Office Suite
  • You can function effectively within a team and collaborate well with colleagues, staff, and managers
  • You can maintain discretion with confidential and sensitive information
  • You have superior communication and interpersonal skills
  • You can provide a Clean Criminal record search
  • You can function effectively in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment m Player
