Job Posting: Bookkeeper (Condominium & Commercial)

Job Title: - Bookkeeper (30hrs/week)

Location: London, ON – On-Site

Anticipated Start Date: As soon as possible

Job Overview

We are seeking an easy-going detail-oriented experienced Bookkeeper to manage the financial operations

for a diverse portfolio of condominium corporations and commercial properties. The ideal candidate is a

self-starter who can navigate accounting platforms and possesses a firm grasp of commercial lease

administration, residential condominium accounting, and statutory compliance.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Management & Reporting

• Maintain full-cycle bookkeeping for multiple condominium corporations and commercial entities.

• Utilize Buildium to manage day-to-day financial transactions.

• Perform monthly Bank Reconciliations and provide accurate financial statements.

• Manage Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR), ensuring timely collections of

common element fees and commercial rents.

• Execute Year-End Preparation to ensure all files are audit-ready for external auditors.

Compliance & Payroll

• Process and manage Payroll cycles accurately.

• Handle all statutory filings, including HST and WSIB Remittances.

• Ensure timely submission of Payroll Deduction remittances to the CRA.

Commercial Lease Administration

• Oversee the financial setup and renewal of commercial leases.

• Interpret key lease terms, including Base Rent, Common Area Maintenance (CAM) charges, and

additional rent reconciliations.

• Ensure all lease-related billing is aligned with specific contractual terms and escalation clauses.

Qualifications

• Software Proficiency: Proven experience with Buildium or similar is preferred, but not necessary.

Must be proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).

• Industry Experience: Previous experience in Property Management or Real Estate accounting

(Condo and/or Commercial) is preferred, but not necessary.

• Analytical Skills: Ability to read and interpret commercial lease agreements and condominium

governing documents.

• Organizational Skills: Exceptional ability to manage multiple corporations, trust accounts, and

deadlines simultaneously.

• Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of Canadian tax compliance (HST, WSIB) and

Ontario-specific payroll regulations.

• Experience: 5 – 10 years of similar or related prior work experience
