Your Mission:
The Corporate Development Analyst supports the execution of growth initiatives across the Convertus Group. The role focuses on financial analysis and modelling related to Design-Build projects, acquisitions, and capital raising activities. This includes supporting financial planning, assisting with due diligence on potential investments, and contributing to debt and equity financing processes.
As the Analyst you will work closely with the Corporate Development and Finance teams to prepare analysis, materials, and recommendations that inform investment and strategic decisions.
Here’s what an ordinary day of work might look like:
- Assisting with financial due diligence on acquisition targets, including analysis of historical financials, normalization adjustments, and preparation of supporting schedules for quality of earnings and diligence reports.
- Building and maintaining financial models for acquisitions and Design-Build-Operate opportunities, including valuation, returns analysis, and scenario and sensitivity analysis.
- Supporting transaction execution by assisting with deal negotiation materials, diligence coordination, and post-close integration planning and tracking.
- Conducting market and industry research to identify potential acquisition targets and development opportunities and help maintain the corporate development pipeline.
- Preparing analysis, presentations, and briefing materials for internal decision-making, including investment committee and senior leadership reviews.
- Supporting capital raising activities by assisting with lender and investor materials, data room preparation, and financial analysis required for debt and equity processes.
- Assisting with ad hoc financial analysis and business problem solving in support of executive management.
- Maintaining organized documentation, models, and transaction files to support efficient execution and knowledge transfer.
This job is for you if you:
- Have 1 to 3 years of relevant experience in corporate finance, investment banking, private equity, venture capital, strategy consulting, or a similar analytical role.
- Undergraduate degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or a related discipline; degree from a business program preferred.
- Progress toward a CPA, CFA, or other relevant professional designation considered an asset.
- Advanced Excel skills, including financial modeling and data analysis.
- Experience with data analytics, reporting, or business intelligence tools is an asset.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to synthesize financial and qualitative information into clear insights.
- Incredible attention to detail.
- Strong interest in sustainability-driven businesses, supported by curiosity, sound judgment, and solid analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with internal stakeholders across functions and levels.
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to structure problems, interpret data, and draw practical conclusions.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
- Collaborative team player with a positive attitude and the ability to work effectively with colleagues from diverse backgrounds.
- Proactive and flexible, with a willingness to learn new skills, take on unfamiliar tasks, and support the team where needed.

About the salary range: A reasonable estimate of the pay range is $74,800.00 - $93,500.00CAD at the time of this posting. Within the range, individual pay is determined by factors such as job-related skills, relevant experience, education and/or training. The upper end of the range is typically reserved for candidates with demonstrated expertise that is above job requirements or who bring exceptional directly transferable experience. Please note that the range details above reflect the base pay only and does not include our competitive bonus program and benefits that we offer.
