PROJECT MANAGER / SALES & ESTIMATOR

Sales-Focused Renovation Construction Professional

DUO Building Ltd. | London, Ontario

DUO Building Ltd. is looking for an experienced Project Manager to join our team. This is a key client-facing role for someone who combines strong sales and relationship-building skills with solid renovation construction and estimating experience.

With more than 47 years of experience, DUO Building has built a strong reputation for quality craftsmanship, thoughtful design, and exceptional client service. We are looking for someone who can represent that reputation from the initial client consultation and estimate through project completion.

The Opportunity

The successful candidate will play an important role in identifying client needs, developing renovation solutions, preparing accurate estimates, and turning opportunities into successful projects.

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys selling through expertise—someone who can listen to a client's vision, understand their budget and priorities, develop a practical construction approach, and confidently guide them toward the next step.

Key Responsibilities

  • Meet with prospective clients to understand their renovation goals, priorities, lifestyle and budget
  • Build strong relationships with clients and guide them through the sales and renovation process
  • Identify opportunities, follow up with leads and help convert prospects into projects
  • Review drawings, specifications and project requirements to develop accurate estimates
  • Prepare detailed renovation estimates, budgets, scopes of work and proposals
  • Obtain and evaluate subcontractor and supplier pricing
  • Identify potential construction challenges and develop practical solutions
  • Present estimates and proposals to clients and clearly explain scope, costs and project expectations
  • Negotiate and finalize project details while maintaining strong client relationships
  • Work closely with the design and construction teams to ensure a smooth transition from estimating to project execution
  • Manage projects from pre-construction through completion, including scheduling, budgeting, change orders and client communication
  • Maintain accurate project information and ensure projects remain on budget and on schedule
  • Identify additional opportunities and provide clients with options that enhance their renovation while respecting their budget
  • Maintain transparent, regular communication with clients throughout project. Proactively identify scope changes and manage formal change orders seamlessly.
  • What We’re Looking For
  • 5+ years of experience in renovation construction
  • Proven experience in estimating and project management
  • Strong understanding of residential and/or commercial renovation as well as light Medical / Dental renovation construction
  • Demonstrated sales and business-development ability
  • Confident reading and interpreting construction drawings and specifications
  • Strong understanding of construction costs, materials, labour and subcontractor pricing
  • Excellent client relationship and communication skills
  • Proven ability to build trust and develop long-term client relationships
  • Strong negotiation, organization and problem-solving skills
  • Detail-oriented with excellent follow-through
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency with construction estimating and project-management software
  • Maintain transparent, regular communication with clients throughout project. Proactively identify scope changes and manage formal change orders seamlessly.
  • Valid driver's licence

The Right Fit

We're looking for someone who is confident, personable and motivated by results. You enjoy meeting with clients, understanding what they want to accomplish and developing solutions that make sense from both a construction and budget perspective.

You are equally comfortable building a relationship, preparing an estimate, discussing pricing, solving a construction challenge and moving a project forward.

If you are organized, dependable, enjoy working with people and take pride in delivering exceptional renovation projects, we'd like to hear from you.

Why Join DUO?

  • More than 47 years of experience and an established reputation in the London renovation industry
  • A strong pipeline of renovation projects and opportunities
  • A collaborative, employee-focused workplace
  • The opportunity to work directly with clients and play a key role in their renovation journey
  • A team that values quality workmanship, professionalism and accountability
  • The opportunity to grow your career with an established and respected renovation construction company
