Senior Packaging Technician

JC Green is looking to fill the position of Senior Packaging Technician, who, under the discretion of the Processing Supervisor, will be primarily responsible for leading packaging/processing tasks and operating packaging/processing equipment at our facility in Thorndale, ON.

Job Duties

• Ability to lead a team in a manufacturing setting (processing and packaging)

• Operate packaging and processing equipment (ie: automated preroll machinery, extract filling equipment, trimming and milling equipment)

• Ability to work safely and efficiently, following the necessary Standard Operating Procedures and Work Instructions

• Complete all documentation as required/assigned

• Assist in an auxiliary role as required  

• Basic maintenance, sanitation and upkeep of equipment (daily, weekly, monthly)

• Focus on efficiency and continuous improvement

• Comply with all hygiene and bio-security requirements

• All other duties as assigned

Job Requirements

• 3+ years working in a lead role or higher in a manufacturing setting

• Ability to take instruction and work towards a common goal using effective communication

• Ability to prioritize and manage changing demands

• Ability to troubleshoot problems and find solutions to make processes more efficient

• Mechanically inclined

• Strong attention to detail

• High level of integrity and work ethic

• Ability to commute to a rural location

• Health Canada Security Clearance an asset

• Knowledge of the Health Canada Cannabis Regulations and GPP/GMP An asset

Work Conditions

• Ability to work flexible hours (days, afternoons, midnights, weekends)

• Expectation to multitask and take initiative to improve processes

• Must work safely and follow all procedures with machinery and cannabis materials  

• Lifting, moving and manipulating objects up to 50lbs  

Job Type: Full Time, Hourly

Pay Range: $19-23 per hour
