Neurodivergence at Work: Different Minds, Different Strengths

October 16, 2026

Neurodivergent people continue to face disproportionate barriers to employment, even though their unique ways of thinking can bring valuable strengths to the workplace. From creativity and problem-solving to exceptional focus and attention to detail, these differences can sometimes feel like superpowers.

‍

In Silicon Valley, there's even a catchy expression for the combination of unconventional thinking and personal magnetism: a little “rizz” (charisma) and a little “tiz” (a slang reference to autism). It's a provocative way of suggesting that thinking differently can be a competitive advantage.

‍

How can neurodivergent individuals turn their strengths into success, both at work and in everyday life? And what can employers do to recognize and support those strengths?

‍

Robert Simms of London's Embodied Resilience Wellness Clinic brings both professional expertise and lived experience to the conversation. A neurodivergent therapist specializing in supporting people who experience the world differently, Robert joins Pathways' Michelle Moran to explore the challenges, opportunities and practical strategies that can help neurodivergent individuals thrive.

‍

Watch their conversation and discover why thinking differently can open new possibilities.
