Purpose of Job:
The Dishwasher/Custodian is responsible for maintaining a clean environment. He/she will be required to perform tasks such as cleaning and disinfecting. The Dishwasher/Custodian will be responsible for ensuring that his/her required tasks are completed thoroughly, on time, and with minimal supervision.
Principal Accountabilities:
• Keeps building/property/kitchen in clean and orderly condition
• Clean, ensuring proper disinfectant procedures are followed
• Performs routine cleaning activities
• Maintains a clean kitchen / dry floors, properly washes and sorts soiled dishes
• Properly washes, stacks, and stores china, glassware, silverware, cookware etc
• Maintains the dry storage area and the organization of storage shelves
• Gathers and empties trash/recycling
• Work with and understand a number of cleaning chemicals, ensuring the right products are being used for the right jobs
• Ensure cleaning materials and supplies are stored in a safe and orderly manner
• Any other duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills and Education:
• Planning and multi-tasking
• Self-motivated
• High level of detail accuracy, manual dexterity, and hand-eye co-ordination
• Ability to work in a safe and orderly manner
Ability to Commute/Relocate:
• Mount Elgin, ON N0J 1N0: Commute/relocate before starting work (required)
