Who We Are:
Hamilton Bike Share Inc. is the not-for-profit organization that operates the year-round 825 bike public bike sharing system and hosts the Everyone Rides Initiative, an equity program that is designed to remove barriers to accessing bikes through subsidized membership options, programming and community engagement. Our mission is “to enhance the quality of urban life by improving equitable access to bicycles in Hamilton.”
Who You Are
You’re a skilled and comfortable driver, who is excited to navigate the city, work outside, and is passionate about helping more people in Hamilton access bikes. You’re confident navigating the city in large cargo vans, and are comfortable with the physical task of lifting and loading bikes. You're able to work independently with minimal supervision to complete tasks, and are self-motivated to ensure your tasks are completed to a high standard.

This position requires regular lifting and loading of bikes (50 lbs) onto a vehicle. Additional tasks will include inspecting bikes and hubs; installing hubs; tracking bike data; field-based hardware adjustments, and bringing in bikes to our shop for maintenance.
We are looking for someone who can commit to 30-40 hours per week starting August. Evening and weekend availability is required. Hours may be reduced in the winter given demands of the system. If you are interested in part-time hours only, we would still consider an application if you have evening and weekend availability.
