Position Name: Offset and Digital Print Production Operator Association Position

Status: Full-time Weekdays (Expectation for flexibility) Classification: 6
9:30 a.m. – 6:00 p.m

Department: Print

Reports To: Director of Manufacturing

Purpose of Position:
To produce high quality output from the Kodak DI Digital Offset Press

Key result areas of the position:
• Ensure appropriate daily Production Flow to meet Customer Commitments
• ISO 9001 quality control
• Ensure appropriate level of After-hours Customer Service Response

Activities and Tasks:
• Operating Kodak DI Digital Offset Press
• Assist in equipment maintenance
• Production reporting
• Manufacture of product within the scope of the department
• Customer Service in the absence of regular Customer Service staff
• Assist purchasing department for materials required including monitoring of critical inventory levels and communication with the department manager regarding concerns
• Other duties as may be assigned as required

Qualifications:
• Production of offset digital print products in both colour and black and white products
• Prepress production including digital prepress and lithography
• Post-press finishing of printed materials
• Common Graphic production software for both PC’s and Mac’s including Illustrator,
CorelDraw, Quark, Publisher, PageMaker
• Customer Service
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to solve problems including use of electronic spreadsheets and word-processing tools
• Excellent communication skills
• Good attendance
