POSITION SUMMARY
Receivers are responsible for receiving stock into the warehouse.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
● To verify the state of materials and stock when received at the warehouse
● To ensure the is no defective or missing merchandise
● To stock merchandise in the warehouse accurately and in a manner that maximizes
warehouse space
● To unload trucks and carriers
● Ability to safety and efficiently operate motorized equipment, specifically Lift truck
(Company provided training: Power Equipment Certification - must pass both theory and
practical assessments)
● Process the proper paperwork for non-stock and damaged inventory items
● Verification of receipt on the computer after processing
● Meet the required quality and productivity standard
● Cross-train to cover other functions within the facility. Rotate and assist in other jobs.
● Performs other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS & COMPETENCIES
● Committed to a high standard of safety and comply with all safety policies and practices
● Attention to detail essential
● Successfully attain Power Equipment certification
● Ability to interact effectively with coworkers
● Must be a team player with a can-do attitude
● Must be able to work overtime as required
● Excellent attendance
● Meet required productivity and quality standards
● Repetitive bending, reaching, twisting, and lifting (weights as listed below)
● Regularly lift/maneuver from floor to waist: up to 50 lbs
Job Description | Receiving
● Regularly lift/maneuver from waist to shoulder: up to 50 lbs
● Pulling product down from above shoulder level to waist or floor level: up to 40lbs
● Ability to walk and stand for 8-10 hours per day
● Break schedule: 15 minutes after 2 hrs, 30 minutes after 4 hours, 15 minutes after 6
hours
