About This Position:

  • This is a full-time position.
  • Regular working hours are Mon-Thu: 7:30 to 4:30, Fri: 7:30 to 2:00.
  • London, ON.
  • Start Wage: $22.00 to $25.00 per hour.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Shop Fabrication/Welder: Cutting, welding (MIG), reworking, fabricating and grinding steel frames and doors.
  • Shop organization and cleanliness.
  • Equipment care and maintenance.
  • Receiving product.
  • Inventory and supply responsibilities.

Position Requirements:

  • Ontario Secondary School Diploma - asset: college/vocational or technical training.
  • Welding and fabrication experience, minimum 2 years’ experience.
  • Must be very proficient with hand tools and related equipment.
  • Must be able to measure both imperial and metric.
  • Able to meet the physical demands of the job including heavy lifting.
  • Excellent interpersonal/communication skills; both verbal and written.
  • Excellent planning, organizational and documentation skills.
  • Ability to work efficiently and effectively under pressure in a small but busy and highly dynamic environment.
  • Ability to multitask efficiently.
  • Proficiency in reading drawings and instructions/orders.
  • Grade 1 CSA approved safety footwear and welding mask.
  • Reliable transportation to and from work.
