8 Weeks = 7 Weeks in Class + 1-Week Co-op with a Local Employer
Monday-Friday (30 hours/week)
Learn the critical skills to work in the cleaning industry, including medical office and hospital cleaning. This in demand profession has immediate opportunities for employment following the program. You will receive training in best practices for infection control and Covid-19 awareness protocols.
You will learn:
- Occupational Health & Safety
- Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS)
- Office, restaurant and home cleaning
- Infection control
- Hospital and medical office cleaning
- Minor plumbing and electrical awareness
- Lockout/tag out procedures
- Operation of industry specific machinery and maintenance
Certifications:
Graduates receive the certifications essential to attaining employment and working safely in the property maintenance industry.
- Working at Heights
- First Aid/ CPR
- WHMIS
Graduates receive a College Certificate
Career paths following this program include: Cleaning or maintenance in long-term care facilities, educational institutions, medical facilities, private and residential buildings, industrial sites, retail and commercial, office environments
